Fire Hydrant Use Permit

The Fire Hydrant Use Permit (PDF) is issued to companies or individuals who connect to a city fire hydrant to purchase water. Typically, water trucks used on construction sites for dust control will load up with water using a fire hydrant.

Permit Deposit

A deposit must be submitted prior to obtaining the fire hydrant meter. If you do not have a hydrant wrench, one can be obtained for a deposit. A non-refundable fee is required prior to permit issue. The deposits will be refunded, less the amount for water used, upon return of the meter in good condition, after an inspection by the city has been completed.
