Kinshire Waterline Replacement/FDR Project

The Kinshire Waterline Replacement/FDR Phase IA Project takes place in the area bounded by Sperry Avenue to the north, Poppy Avenue to the south, Clover Avenue to the west, and Patterson Irrigation District’s (PID) main canal to the east. The project scope included replacing all water mains and water service lines for the area. Natural pipe deterioration had caused failure to the existing subsurface and asphalt pavement.  The purpose of the project is to replace aging infrastructure.  Including, full-depth reconstruction of the existing neighborhood streets, upgrading all pedestrian crosswalk ramps to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards, and any curb/gutter and sidewalk that does not allow proper gutter slope to drain effectively. Rubberized Asphalt Concrete Hot-Mix was utilized on Clover Avenue from Kinshire Way through Sperry Avenue, on Kinshire Way from Clover Avenue through Agadoni Court, and on South 9th Street from Kinshire Way through Sperry Avenue.

Phase IA of the Kinshire Project was presented to the City Council and accepted as complete on September 20, 2022.

The Kinshire Waterline Replacement and Street (FDR) Project Ph IB takes place in the area bounded by Sperry Avenue to the north, Poppy Avenue to the south, Del Puerto Avenue to the west, and Patterson Irrigation District’s (PID) main canal to the east. The project scope included replacing all water mains and water service lines for the area. The purpose of the project was to replace aging infrastructure. Natural pipe deterioration has caused failure to the existing subsurface and asphalt pavement. Therefore, this project will include water main, services (existing meters to remain in place and utilized), full-depth reconstruction of the existing neighborhood streets, upgrading all pedestrian crosswalk ramps to meet the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards, and any curb/gutter and sidewalk that does not allow proper gutter slope to drain effectively.

Phase IB of the Kinshire Project was presented to the City Council and accepted as complete on February 20, 2024.

Project Status

Phase 1 of Kinshire IB was completed in September of 2022.  

Phase 2 of Kinshire IB was completed in February of 2024.
